Two years and a few days (a few days after the warranty expired, I later discovered), the turning handle fell off an ESQ watch I purchased while turning it. When I contacted customer service, they implied it was somehow my fault, as opposed to the quality of the watch, and then provided me with a lengthy and condescending description on the rudimentary care of watches. The watch literally just fell apart on its own.

Poor craftsmanship plus poor customer service is a bad combination. I would strongly consider other brands before purchasing this watch.

This watch is classy and a good deal at Amazon’s discounted price. The movement is a Swiss quartz (made by Ronda..the most famous Swiss movement maker is ETA) but the case is foreign, to cut down on cost. It is a nice weight, and not overwhelming on a small-ish wrist. I have several watches, so I don’t know if I would recommend this to be the one and only watch to own, but it’s very attractive and looks more expensive than it is.

The band and the clasp are nice for this price range, some watches have hollow links and these are solid. The face is also very detailed as well, with a textured (guilloche) surface. The only thing that might blow its cover to observant eyes is the case; it’s a bit clunky compared to its more famous Swiss cousins.
