I’ve owned this exact Omega Seamaster model for 5 years now (and haven’t yet needed to change the battery). It only gains 5 seconds per month (that’s only 1 minute per year !). I have owned 2 Rolex watches (both Explorer II) at different times in the past. Both Rolex watches consistently lost 5 minutes per month.
This Omega Seamaster is a real “man’s watch” - big, heavy, solid, great looking, water & shock proof, and you’ll look good wearing it anywhere - to the beach, the club, the office, or the golf course. You may not look like Pierce Brosnan in 007 (check out his Omega Seamaster), but you’ll certainly feel like “Bond, James Bond” when you strap this one on.

Great watch, however…
The MSRP on this watch is only $1700. I’ve been to several reputable watch dealers in my area and all of them have stated the $1700 MSRP and then they all offer at least 15% off of that. Plus free lifetime battery replacement while you wait.
Omega specifically recommends against buying their watches online as many are not authentic and will not be covered under warranty unless they are purchased from an authorized dealer.

I have owned this watch now for two days and I thought I would give an interested buyer my initial thoughts. I have had my eye on this watch for quite sometime now and I am very glad that I purchased it. When I first put it on I thought it was to big for my wrist but now I think it fits just fine. Its a large watch at 41mm but the midsize Seamaster seemed to small. Unless you have an unusually small wrist you should be okay with this size. My wrist is about 7 1/2 just to give you an idea.
The watch has a nice weight to it and balances very nicely on the wrist. The dial and markers are very clear and the numbers stay bright for a good period of time. The dial has a nice wave design to it which looks much better in person. The band is a decent weight but I thought for a watch of this price that it would be a little heavier. Non the less the band is very sturdy and does not appear cheap at all. The clasp is great and very secure. Overall I have no regrets purchasing this watch.

Very poor quality and no customer support
I bought a Omega thinking it high quality. It stopped functioning in less than 9 months.
Because I had not bought it through a “Qualified dealer” they would not repair it…

I have to say this watch is gorgeous. When you’re wearing it and look down it looks like it’s worth at least two times the price.
