I bought one of these in about 1992, wore it for years, through several leather straps and batteries. And then on a trip with my teen-aged son in 2000, he started wearing it and I got myself another one. Now I am wearing the third (though a slightly different model). My son still has the first one. It’s still ticking.

I got this watch as a gift several years ago. The battery only seems to last for a couple years at a time but I don’t mind changing it.
This is a great watch with military simplicity but enough elegance to go with anything. The surface is has yet to get a scratch despite a lot of hard use.
Absolutely silent to boot (no ticking).
